28. Give 5 “I saw this and thought of you” gifts.
Sometimes it’s nice to be spontaneous. Who says you should wait to birthdays and Christmas to indulge those we love? I added this task to my list as I love buying gifts for people and even though they aren’t always of monetary value, a “I saw it and thought of you” gift is always from my heart.
1. A triple CD box set of nursery rhymes for Ned, February 2009.
When I was staying with Beff, Ned and Tomos, I went along to a music group with them. Ned and all the other children seem to get so much from it and it was lovely to hear all the old nursery rhymes again. When I saw the CDs in Tesco after getting home, I thought I would buy the CDs and post them to him. It had all his favourites and he loved it.
2. A “yummy mummy” pinny for Beff, April 2009.
(Beff’s photo)
I don’t care what Beff says (rough as emery board, what twaddle!) she very much is a yummy mummy. When I say this apron for sale, I had to buy it for her. She’s the yummiest mummy I have the pleasure of knowing!
3. A gorgeous candle holder for my mum, June 2009.
(photo to follow)
My mum, Dean, our friend Tricia, her son Andrew and I all went to Crieff Hydro for 3 days and had such a lovely time. In the gift shop there, I saw a gorgeous candle holder and had to buy it for my mum. It’s for two tea lights on a stand with lots of cream and brown frosted glass leaves. She loves it and it goes so well in her fairly recently decorated living room.
