60. Decorate two Christmas cakes each year (Blog Page)

I started a cake decorating course in 2006 but never managed to complete it due to my health. I got a leeetle resentful and stuck my kit-box in the cupboard. This year with my 101 Things list in mind, I made a point of properly making Christmas cakes and dusted the box off. I’m going to start using the kit again with my cupcakes so it won’t be such a waste.

Anyway…

Cake One
This one was made by Dean but still decorated by me and kept here in Liverpool:

Cake Two
This one was to take to Musselburgh, both made and decorated by me. I love it!! (I was frustrated by the overhang of icing as I had been continuously smoothing the edge but nothing to cancel Christmas over…)

I’m not quite sure how I’ll come up with something to top these next year!

Wow!! Your cakes look amazing (great photography, too!) What flavor(s) were they? I’m glad you dusted off the kit — it obviously missed you. Happy New Year!

Joanne Says:

Can I put my order in for Christams 2010? Yum!
