The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
My 1001 days started on 11th January 2009 and will finish on 9th October 2011
#19. To own a leather handbag.
My lovely friend Cheryl knew I had this task on my list and kindly offered to send me a beautiful leather handbag she didn’t want any more. I’m delighted with it and very pleased to finally own one! It’s a nice big bag so will take all my stuff plus it’s also perfect for the impending black boot season as my usual floral Cath Kidtson bag won’t go with my boots.

What a generous and lovely gesture – and what a great bag! You’ll be hooked now though, I promise you; leather bags are a bit of an obsession of mine. The one I’m currently using is forest green suede and very pretty, but I’m in a black bag mood and might switch this week.
What a lovely bag! I love handbags, you can never have too many :-)
Oh I really like that bag…you’ve inspired me to clean out my bag and switch to one in the closet – which I rarely do, but a fresh look might be good!
