#80. Go to a museum
#81. Go to an art gallery

I had an appointment in Liverpool City Centre and decided on the spur of the moment to go to the World Museum and the Walker Art Gallery. This was in part due to my Mini-List of things I want to do before we leave Liverpool. With it being an impromptu visit to both places, I didn’t have my camera so will have to use old photos for now.

#80 – I was blown away by the museum, it’s amazing. I can’t believe it has taken me 8 years to go! I’m not really a museum person, mainly because I don’t do standing very well so I just had a fairly quick look around. I would love to go back with my wheelchair so I could enjoy it more. It has a planetarium, aquarium, bug room, lots of natural history stuff and so much more. At the moment, there is also an exhibition called “The Beat Goes On”, which is about the Beatles and other music from Liverpool. I would love to go back again, particularly with a child who would be completely in awe of it as it would be lots of fun.

#81 – I like some art but it’s quite well known that I’m not particularly grabbed by it. I prefer installations like Superlambananas and Another Place. I enjoyed walking through the gallery but was far more interested in the special exhibitions than I was in the older art. I particularly liked the John Moore’s Prizewinners and Ben Johnson’s Liverpool Cityscape. The Cityscape is the most amazing piece of art I have ever seen, it’s amazing.

So, two more items completed and also two in my Mini-List. :-)
