65. Go on a picnic
On 9th August 2009, a group of online friends and I decided to go to the Edinburgh Festival’s Cavalcade. It’s a big parade which usually attracts around 300,000 spectators. Because of the tram works on Princes Street, the Cavalcade was moved to Holyrood Park so instead of being crammed like sardines, we were able to take a big picnic with us and make most of the day. 12 of us, including some lovely and very well behaved children, went along. As we were organised and pooled the food, it meant we had lots of very lovely things to eat and we took up 3 blankets worth of space. I didn’t get a photo of the food (boooo) but did get some photos of the day and of the cupcakes I made.
We’re hoping to do it all again next year, when I might be able to get a photo of some food!
