101 Things in 1001 Days

The Personal Challenge of a Lifetime!

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

My 1001 days started on 11th January 2009 and will finish on 9th October 2011

Day 173 (157) – Manicured Nails (#18)

18 – Go for a manicure.

One of my oldest friends got married on Saturday and for her hen, we went to Crieff Hydro for a spa day. I’ve always had bad nails but since starting steroids 4 years ago, they have become absolutely awful. My last manicure was the day before my wedding 5 years ago and it was definitely time for another one! I was quite embarrassed at the state of my nails but was so pleased with the result, it was a lovely purpley red. So pleased that I went to a friend of a friend for a pre-wedding manicure on Friday too and will be going again soon.

I forgot to take a photo though, doh!
