101 Things in 1001 Days

The Personal Challenge of a Lifetime!

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

My 1001 days started on 11th January 2009 and will finish on 9th October 2011

Day 123 – Stitched and Bitched! (#9)

Hooray!

After another 7 days of not leaving the house and getting nowhere fast towards my 101 Things, I had a message through Ravelry (knitting website) to say a new Stitch and Bitch group had been set up nearby, hooray! They meet at a great time for me (6pm – I’m so not a night owl!) every Tuesday and also in my favourite bar/restaurant – result!

I went along last night and had such a good time. There were 10 of us last night and apart from one girl’s nan, everyone else was younger. I really have a good feeling about this and so excited about my knitting, as well as finally being able to strike something off my list – it’s been a while!! I’m hoping to get another today too, woo!

Hopefully it’s the start of things to come and I’ll start getting through my list now!
