The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
My 1001 days started on 11th January 2009 and will finish on 9th October 2011
6. Knit something beautiful for a friend’s baby
When my lovely friend Emma announced she was having a baby, I had to make her the friend for #6. I asked what she would prefer and she asked for a cardigan. I went for green as she didn’t know what she was having and it was finished on 5th March 2010.
I’m really proud of my achievement and Emma is really pleased with it. I’m looking forward to seeing gorgeous Constance, who was born on 16th March, wearing it.
My name is Anne (mainly known online as Mrs Magic or Madge), I’m 28 and live in the outskirts of Liverpool with my husband Dean, the in-laws and Frankie the cat. I’m from Musselburgh, a small coastal town near Edinburgh but have lived here in Liverpool for 5 years now, since getting married in 2004.
My main passions in life are photography and cooking but hopefully this will expand over the next 1001 days! I am unable to work due to me being ill (I have Lupus) and I feel that doing 101 Things is going to help give me a purpose for the next 1001 days, I am really quite excited about it as it should be fun as well as challenging!
I’m sure I’ll tell you more about myself as I go along but for now, this is a little bit about me!
